Hugo and the Adult Trike Bike

If you've read any of my Wimpy Witness Adventures, I'm sure you are familiar with Hugo, the rolling walker. Hugo has been a big part in our street witnessing for several years now. I can't tell you how many tired pregnant women and weary senior citizens have gratefully accepted a chance to rest their legs and sit a spell on Hugo's padded seat. Yes, he has been a valuable member of the Wimpy Witness team, but after spotting an electric adult trike, I'm thinking it's time for a replacement. Think how much ground we could cover with one of these babies.

After a bad Storm, my son (wearing his christian tshirt of course) organized the neighborhood kids and went yard to yard picking up sticks, downed tree limbs and trash from the Neighborhood.

3. Adopt the Senior Citizens in your neighborhood - be there to shovel snow, help with car repairs and housekeeping, stop in to chat, invite them to dinner and most of all pray for them

Holiday Evangelism

1. Send Christmas cards to random people from your phone book...add a few salvation scriptions

2. Make cards with salvation scriptures for nursing home residents.

3. Hand out Witness Pens to frazzled Cashiers..and don't forget to Smile and tell them you're praying for them.

4. Make little care bags of cookies..tie on a scripture message and hand out where ever you see a line.

5. Have your kids make special cards for "adopted" grandparents in nursing homes and stop by to visit.

6. Invite someone to dinner. Make it your mission not to let anyone have to spend the holidays alone.

The Wimpy Witness goes to the Festival Hot Air Balloons, Fireworks, Arts and Crafts, Jet Skis and Boats, Funnel Cakes and Hot Dogs, Helicopter Rides, plus a small team of Wimpy Witnesses equals the Clarksville Virginia Annual Lakefest. It was a perfect morning, with slightly overcast sky, soft breeze off the lake and plenty of visitors on the street. There we were, my team of Wimpy Witnesses, scared and nervous but ready to complete our assignment from our King. Armed with tracts, witness pens, buttons and tiny Bible Teddies all neatly stuffed into the basket compartment of our rolling walker, Hug-O; we headed onto the street looking for friendly faces to offer our Free goods. We had prayed that Angels would go before us and prepare a path, and that morning it certainly appeared our prayers were answered. Little kids in strollers received Bible Teddies as their grateful parents accepted Free witness pens and Bible Tracts. The Streets were full of happy vacationers enjoying Virginia"s largest Festival. Tens of Thousands of new faces and hearts needing the Word of God. We rolled up and down Main Street until our ample supply of Free Seed (the Word of God) was depleted. Our task complete we headed home to Pray that God might send others to water the seed and finally that the Harvesters would come to bring Salvation to those who thought they were only visiting a little town on the Lake for a day of fun. The Wimpy Witness Yard Sale

First off, let me make a confession. I hate Yard Sales! The idea of leaving my nice cozy bed and opening my eyes at the crack of dawn is ludicrous. The only thing worse than going to a Yard Sale is having one. Selling my stuff on Ebay or calling the local Goodwill to come pick up my old junk just seems more logical. Less bother, no early wake-up calls. That said, There is one reason and only one reason why I would recommend a Yard Sale and that is ... It's a great opportunity to witness to your neighbors. Nothing brings out the neighbors like a chance to nose through your stuff. Finally, you get to see who lives in the house where the blinds are always drawn and nobody ever comes or goes. They just can't resist the opportunity of finding something that you might be too stupid to realize is a treasure of great value. Who cares what reasons they are willing to tramp on over to your yard, at least they come ..and.. there you are, armed with tracts and hot coffee or cold drinks. They have to take your tract now, after all it would be rude and you are their neighbor. As much as I have always hated the yard sale ritual, I must admit that I throughly enjoyed myself on that Saturday. My neighbors are quite nice. Can't say that I sold much, but truthfully that wasn't my point in having a yard sale. I did, however, have some awesome conversations about God and Salvation. My Wimpy Witness team, along with Hug-O, the rolling Bible Tract Cart were on hand passing out tracts and proving that not all teenagers are rude and selfish. Watching these two young men being so helpful and respectful was a blessing in itself. They showed their commitment to serving their Lord and I know they both earned Treasure in Heaven. I could go on and on about what an incredible day it was but let me just suggest that you try having a Wimpy Witness Yard Sale for yourself. It will be a lot of work but......Oh.. the blessings!

Are you in the TOP 3%? Did you know that according to the lastest Polls...Only 3% of Christians actually share their Faith....and here YOU are searching the Web for some creative Christian Evangelism Ideas....Good for YOU! Of course, I think the Poll is wrong....Oh No, does that mean you're not in the top 3%? Well, not exactly...You see I think the Poll is wrong in the way it determines what sharing our faith is....here's my humble opinion. I think that only 3% of Christians actually share their Faith in the WAY THAT THE POLL CONSIDERED AS THE PROPER WAY TO SHARE YOUR FAITH. You know the standard...share your testimony, tell them they're a sinner and get them to pray the sinner's prayer. At least that's the way my son's Bible College Evangelism Professor insisted was the correct way to Evangelize. Don't get me wrong, I've had to stop my knees from shaking, get the lump out of throat and survive the sweaty palms long enough to actually do this kind of evangelism...but I've also been blessed to be used of God in many other ways. Sometimes I'm a Seed Sower, Sometimes a Waterer but at all times it's God that brings forth the Harvest. When you start to see yourself as a "Living Witness", you'll see that you are ALWAYS sharing your Faith. For example..my son has worn a "Christian Tshirt" every single day for the past four years. It's just one of the ways he sows the seed of the Word. Passing out tracts and Witness Pens is another. We've also been involved in Servant Evangelism and Street Evangelism. This Website is only a part of our Internet Evangelism efforts. And, of course you can read about our "witness" yard sales and adventures to boat races, festivals and biker bars elsewhere on this website Over the past few years, we have begun to see Evangelism as a process and there are many ways to be a part of that process. The key is to do what you were created to do...not what someone else was created to do. We're not all Ray Comfort or Billy Graham, most of us are not going to have Christian TV shows or large Tent Revivals, but all of us can spred a little seed and show a little love. Did God Create Satan? and WHY?

The only real source of information on this subject is the Bible, and according to the Bible God did in fact create Satan, or the devil.

When I was a teenager I posed a question to my youth leader, and later to his father the minister of the church. The question was: If God is omnipresent, and knows the outcome of all things from the beginning to the end, and God is pure of any evil, so much so that he had to turn away rather than look upon His son as Jesus took the sins of the world upon himself. Then how could God create Lucifer,with knowledge that this being would later stand against God's own purpose, and become the father of lies. This question was very much avoided and talked around, and eventually I realized that I would not receive an answer from these men.

I now believe I know the answer to that question, God will show you all things if given time and patience combined with prayer.

Free will, God gave Lucifer the choice to become whatever he wished to become. If God as an omnipresent being, only created that which He knew would serve His will then what would be the point. Just as we are given free will Lucifer was given the same choice, and chose to serve his own cause, rather than to serve God's.

I think this is where the concept of: "If you love something set it free, if it comes back to you it is yours forever, and if it doesn't it never was."

God set us ALL free, even the devil, it's our choice to come back to Him.

Stupid Halloween!

I use to HATE Halloween

I used to hate Halloween. As a Christian, I hated the whole idea of this Pagan holiday. Every year I would take special care to make sure my pets were safely locked in the house, in case some sicko weirdo decided to use them in some strange satanic ritual. Shades were drawn and lights turned out to discourage any celebrates from coming to MY door. Prayers were offered to protect little children and condemn those ignorant adults who would dare to inflict such evil on their own child. I thought God would be pleased to see me take such a stand against evil. Thank God! I finally woke up to see that Halloween is such a great opportunity for evangelism. What other time of year do people actually flock to my door? Children come for candy, neighbors are outside just waiting for someone to say a few nice words. You get to decorate you house with strange colored fruits and vegetables. It's the only time of year where it's perfectly acceptable to hang dried up corn stalks next to your front door. Now I stock up not only on bags of candy, but also Christian tracks and pens with Christian messages. I include a little witness card or "Jesus loves you" mini bears. Anything that will get the message out. If you're really adventurous you might try dressing up in a Bible Costume, going door to door and handing out your Bible tracks and Witness pens. You could even have the kids make their own tracks with simple messages like "Jesus loves you and I do too". One year we dressed up like farmers and handed out little pieces of paper with scripture verses. We were the Sower that sows the word. My young son had fun making his own "seedwords". Halloween doesn't seem so "Stupid" to me anymore it's becoming one of my favorite nights of the year and can be your favorite too. Open the shades, turn on the lights, say a few prayers and get out there, rejoice and share the joy of the Lord.

What happened to Compassion?

The other day I saw a picture on the news of a tiny little girl. The picture was featured with an appeal for help in finding her. As I read on, I was horrified to discover that someone would actually have been sexually abusing such a young child. I shook my head in disgust and then went on with my day. Later that night before falling asleep, I began my customary Prayer Time. Selfishly praying for my needs and the needs of my family, occasionally asking for forgiveness for my many shortcomings and feeling pretty good about myself for taking the time to actually pray, but as I lay my head on my pillow, I was consumed with thoughts of the little girl. I hadn't thought to pray for her. Was she still being abused? What kind of life did she have? What about her family? All day long, I had not shown one ounce of Compassion for this child. Why? Why was it so easy to go about my day? What had happened to my compassion? Compassion in both the biblical Greek and the Hebrew means to be "moved in the bowels", it's that feeling in your gut that forces you to act. Something has changed in our World, and I think it has to do with our lack of Compassion. We are bombarded daily with the horrors of life. Earthquakes that kill thousands, hurricanes that destroy entire cities, sunamies and fires, suicide bombings and war. We have become so numb to it all, that when we see a story about one little child, we no longer have the compassion to stop what we are doing, cry out to our heavenly Father and plead for that child. I'm happy that little girl was found and is safe but I must admit she has changed my prayer life. My prayers are for her, her family and even the horrendous people who were a part in allowing this ordeal. I also pray for those who in the name of justice, were required to view the video of her torture. My prayers now always include a prayer for a compassionate heart in myself and our nation.

A great Evangelism Question Answered!

I just read this great post by a new friend of mine and had to share it with you.

Is GOD Allowing EVIL to PERSIST!

Religious or not just take a minute, and read this. I'm not judging or preaching, just pondering. (if you've got a minute read this, if you've got two tell me what you think of it.) God created us all with a choice, to serve Him or to serve ourselves. True evil in our world comes from the later of the two choices. That is truly what we are here to learn. When you follow the first of all the directives that Jesus put forth, IE: When Jesus was asked " Teacher what is the great commandment in the law?" Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." "This is the first and great commandment." Matthew 22:36-38. When we follow this commandment we are bound to do God's will. Within that state of mind there is no doubt, all of our fear, and hatred, and self serving nature is defeated. When true evil manifests it is from these that it is born. When you look to any sin you have committed throughout all of your existence you most probably will come back to one of these. Especially fear. When you keep your mind, your heart, and your soul focused on loving God there is no room for evil. I believe that the lesson that we are here to learn is just that; Doing YOUR will creates evil to gain a handhold on your life. Doing God's will serves God and evil is defeated. If God were to remove evil, He would in effect be taking away your choice, your free will. At the very least removing evil would remove any opportunity for us to see the consequences of our actions. In closing I would just like to point out that as men, and women we may never be able to completely ignore our impulse to take control and go our own way, it is very difficult to completely surrender your will to God. Those that have are said to reach sainthood. Those that have not are still loved and cherished by God. That is what grace is, only by the grace of God are we saved. Hopefully we can gain faith in our lives, and accept His will, day by day, a little more. Because I believe that the more we do, the less evil will be with us. If you look at it this way I guess the question would be better served; Why we as the children of God, allow for evil.

Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been in situations where someone wants you to give over 100%. How about achieving 101%? What equals 100% in life? Here's a little mathematical formula that might help you answer these Questions: If: A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z Is represented as: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26. Heaven or Hell?

Heaven or Hell?: "Heaven or Hell? It's your choice! Are you 'Good' enough to go to Heaven? Have you done enough 'good deeds' to overcome your sin? Think about it! If you died today, would you spend eternity with God in Heaven or in torment in Hell? Have you ever told a lie? What does that make you? A liar, right? Have you stolen anything? What does that make you? A thief, right? How about using God's name as a curse word? Blasphemy, right? Ever wanted something you didn't have or that wasn't good for you? That's coveting. Let's see that makes four of the ten commandments broken. I think maybe we might be in trouble here. If God is a Holy God and He only allows holy and good into Heaven, were does that leave us? But God is Love, right? Surely a loving God would not send us to a place of torment. But a loving God would also have to be a just God. Would a loving and just Judge allow a criminal to go unpunished? That wouldn't fair or just. A loving and just God must punish sin. Someone must pay the penalty. Ah yes, that's were God's love for us really shows up. He sent His only Son, Jesus to pay that price for us. You might have heard about the 'Free' gift of salvation. Well let me tell you, it wasn't 'Free' or without cost. It cost Jesus everything and although there is no way you can earn or buy salvation, it will cost YOU everything. Salvation is a trade, Jesus dies for us, we live for Him. We die to this life, Jesus lives in us. Do you get it? Jesus takes on all our sins, pays the penalty of death on the cross, and then because of His own innocense is raised from the dead. Now the penalty is paid for all those who accept the gift,... but... once you accept the gift, Jesus comes with it and begins to cleanse and shape your life into the very person that God orginally intended you to be. Cool huh! You don't have to go "clean-up" your life first or do abunch of "holy stuff". You just have to want to let go, repent, turn away from all the junk that is destroying you from the inside out. Do you want to know for certain that you will live forever in Heaven? Then turn this life over to Jesus. Allow Him to wash away your sins and give you a new life here on Earth and Beyond. All you need to do is ask and He will forgive you, and enable you to start New. Do it Now, tomorrow may be too late.

The Curse of Verizon

Oh Boy! Talk about learning patience. Thanks to an internal error between my Verizon DSL and my Broadband Telephone service, I've been off line with no phone service for three weeks. Even though Verizon admits that it was their error, they still show no compassion and treat me as if I'm some type of criminal. I can't help but be amazed. One thing I have learned in this is a new appreciation for our Lord. Even though He did nothing wrong, He stood there and took it all for us. It's one thing to do something wrong and be treated badly but quite another thing to be treated badly when we are innocent. Thankfully, I have friends who have come to my rescue and allowed me access to their high speed internet. Hope to be back up and running by next week. Pray for Me! Wimpy Witness

What is Tshirt Evangelism and Why Should I Care?: "What is T-shirt Evangelism and Why should I Care? by K.M. Kramer, The Wimpy Witness If you've been to a Mall or Public School lately, then you've seen T-shirt Evangelism in action. Unfortunately the message is not usually positive and rarely Christian. Tshirts promoting Demonic Music, Drugs and all manner of sin are common place. Even trashy sayings by happy bunnies for little children are seen spread across tshirts from Coast to Coast. Everyone seems to have an idea or opinion to express. Lately the only opinion that isn't allowed, is the one that expresses Faith in God. Even our own President is ridiculed for Praying. 'You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men' 2 Corinthians 3:2 Christian T-shirt Evangelism is our way of fighting back and fulfilling our mandate as 'living epistles read of men'. As a concerned Christian Mother recently emailed me about our Christian Happy Cat shirt: 'This is an awesome shirt. The kids around here are into that happy bunny that has those nasty sayings on it. It'd be so neat to have my daughter walking around with the happy kitty instead, besides she likes kitties, too' Even her young daughter can be a witness to her friends through a T-shirt. That's the great thing about Tshirt Evangelism. Everyone can be a part of spreading the Gospel. All it takes is a simple Tshirt. Now for the Why I should care: And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.' MarK 16:15 The reason you should care is that He cares. Jesus asked us to go and tell the world. Not everyone can take off and go to the Congo, but we can all do something. Throughout the bible, the word of God is called the Seed. We can all be seed sowers. Passing out tracts is sowing seed, having scripture on your checks is sowing seed and being a living billboard for Christ is sowing seed. The average Tshirt is read over three thousand times before ending up on the trash heap. That's alot of seed sown. What kind of T-shirt should I Wear? There has been a debate among Christians whether it is better to wear a shirt with Scripture or one without Scripture but with a provocative statement. That's something you need to decide for yourself. There are merits on both sides and the determining factor comes down to your personal style of evangelism. For the most part, I prefer having the scripture and here's why: "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth: It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:11 The Word of God is that Seed we spoke about earlier. If you want it to accomplish Gods purpose you need to use His seed. I also like the idea that the seed is being sown whether I stop to talk or share with someone or if I'm just passing by. If you're a Wimpy Witness like me, or just plain shy, this is a great way to start evangelizing. On the other hand, if you want to have a great conversation starter, and are more prepared to openly share the Gospel message, then a shirt without scripture but with powerful statement might just be right. The other advantage to this type of shirt is that whereas scripture shirts are often banned in public schools, these shirts are usually not. How to get started in Tshirt Evangelism 1. Pray, Pray, Pray! You cannot skip this step. Without prayer your seed will fall on fallow ground. 2. Find a Tshirt that fits your style and has a message you believe in. Over the past year this has been my hearts desire, to actually Be the Verse. Believe in what you say and Live It! Wearing a Christian Tshirt and acting like a heathen will not get you any "brownie points" in heaven any more then having scripture verses on your bounced checks. 3. Go Out and Sow some Seed. I love this idea from one of my recent customers. "When I go to the YMCA to work out (not nearly as much as I should...) I love to wear t-shirts with scripture/verses/pictures on the back, so when I'm on a machine, a seed may be planted to the folks behind me". Thanks Traci that is a great idea! Look for tracts that give a clear Gospel Message not ones that promote one doctrine over another. The point should be salvation. Be sure to read the tract before ordering. Try ordering a few from several sites, until you find the right tracts for you.

The Meaning of Life Postcard

My Super PostCard Idea Adventure:

Wow! Is this a great idea or What!

Today I ordered some FREE custom made postcards from Vistaprint. On the Front side I had them print: "The Meaning of Life in 25 Words or Less" then underneath I had them print out the verse of John 3:16. On the back , where you would normally put your return address, I had them print out the Web Address for this site and a short message with a prayer. The cards will be here in about three weeks. My son and me are planning on spending an afternoon addressing the cards to people we randomly pick from the phone book (of course we will pray first and ask God to get the cards where they need to go). We decided to not put our return address because we do not want to be the focus, we want God to get all the Glory and the focus to be on the message.

VistaPrint even has some postcard styles that would be great for little kids. What a great way to teach your child about sharing the Love of Jesus. Let them help you pick out names and addresses and also what to print on your personal postcards.

The Value of the Immortal Soul

The Price of the Immortal Soul We know how much an Immortal Soul is worth to God. It cost Him everything. "For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son", I too have an Only begotten Son. He is the most precious thing in my Life and I can not imagine sending my Son to suffer in the way that God sent His Son. But that is the value of an immortal soul to God. How much value does an Immortal Soul have to you? Is it more valuable then your favorite TV Show? How about that extra 15 minutes sleep? Or, here's a good one, Is it more valuable then your Pride, what others think of you, or your reputation? Do you worry what others might think if you starting talking about Jesus? Ok, Don't tune me out or stop reading. I'm going to tell you the truth, so listen-up. If you are not seeking the Lost, If you are not concerned about your world, then you are extremely SELFISH. I'm not saying you need to be going door-to-door forcing your neighbors to say the Sinner's Prayer. What I'm saying is, you need to:

1. Pray for opportunities to share your Faith 2. Have compassion on the condition of those around you. 3. Speak the Truth, Don't water it down! Hell is Real! 4. If you're not ready to be Bold as a Lion, then at least be a Wimpy Witness. You gotta start somewhere. 5. Never forget or take for granted the price of Salvation. Learn to value what God values.

There are many ways to share and express your Faith, find ways that fit your personality and abilities and then make them a part of your day-to-day life. Most of you have heard all of this before, and you might actually agree that you are Selfish, but after hearing or reading a message like this, you go back to your normal ways, never changing and missing opportunity after opportunity. Please STOP! Take the time right now to make one small change in the right direction. Look for ways to express and share your Faith. Don't go back in your RUT. Today is the Day of Salvation!

The Wimpy Witness Birthday Adventure

Every year my son, Billy and me go for an adventure for his Birthday. When Billy turned 13 our adventure took us to Virginia Beach VA. We had loaded up with tracts to leave in all the usual places, video arcades, the hotel room, fast food restaurants, etc. After a great day at the beach, we headed up the street to do some window shopping. All was well until we came upon what could only be described as a "biker bar". We both felt the nudge of the Spirit to go in but both of us also wanted to wimp-out, skip this place and find a nicer, quieter, cleaner place to witness. Finally we swallowed our fears, went in, and headed for the filthy restrooms. We left the last of our tracts and booked it out of there. Now I don't know what happened to those tracts, but I do know that God wanted them in that place. If you ask Billy about his 13th Birthday, it's the Biker Bar that he remembers most. We still pray for whomever received the tracts and hope that one day we will meet them in heaven. The moral is: Don't let fear stop you from receiving your blessing. Go Forth oh Wimpy One!
